Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Location: Tulsa, OK
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (90 days guaranteed)
Hours: 36 hours per week
About the Role
Join the cardiac telemetry unit as a direct care nurse providing comprehensive nursing support to patients with diverse cardiac needs, including post-operative cardiac care. You'll implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, communicate patient status to the care team, coordinate discharge planning, and execute physician and nursing orders with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care aligned with established policies and protocols
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions effectively
- Serve as primary care coordinator across disciplines
- Assess discharge planning needs and collaborate with the healthcare team
- Work with minimal supervision using critical thinking and decisive judgment
- Follow Standard Precautions and proper use of personal protective equipment
The Unit
The cardiac telemetry unit specializes in post-operative and acute cardiac patient care. You'll work collaboratively with patient care technicians, unit coordinators, and monitor technicians. Virtual sitter monitoring and telemetry support are available.
Scheduling & Expectations
- 36-hour weekly guarantee
- Up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
- Holiday shifts as departmental needs require
- Float assignments to cardiac telemetry and medical-surgical departments
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required)
- BLS certification preferred
- Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
