Cardiac Telemetry Nurse

Position Overview

The facility seeks a Cardiac Telemetry Nurse for a 13-week contract, working nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). This role offers the opportunity to deliver specialized cardiac care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Unit Description

You'll work on a cardiac telemetry unit caring for patients with all cardiac conditions, including post-operative cardiac patients. The unit utilizes telemetry monitoring with support from patient care technicians, a unit coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor technicians. You'll collaborate with a cohesive nursing team dedicated to high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care aligned with facility policies and protocols.
• Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans.
• Document and communicate patient condition changes promptly.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary team efforts to ensure seamless care delivery.
• Execute physician and nursing orders.
• Assess discharge planning needs and coordinate with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license.
• Nursys verification.
• Critical thinking skills and ability to work independently in a high-stress environment.
• Willingness to work up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period and holidays as needed.
• Adherence to Standard Precautions and use of personal protective equipment.

What to Expect

You'll provide care with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–6. The role demands decisive judgment, strong communication, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic setting.
