Cardiac Telemetry Nurse
Position Overview
Join a cardiac telemetry unit providing direct nursing care to patients across the full spectrum of cardiac needs, including post-operative care. You'll work in a collaborative team environment supported by Patient Care Technicians, monitor technicians, and a unit coordinator.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period; holiday coverage as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans
- Communicate and document patient conditions effectively
- Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams
- Execute physician and nursing orders with precision
- Assess and coordinate discharge planning
- Float to cardiac telemetry and medical-surgical units as required
Unit Details
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4–6
- Virtual sitter monitoring and telemetry monitoring support available
- Fast-paced environment requiring critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Required Credentials
- Current RN license (verification required)
- BLS/ACLS certification
- EKG competency
- Pharmacology and specialty exam completion upon onboarding
Onboarding Requirements
Standard health screenings, vaccinations (COVID-19, MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Influenza, Hepatitis B), TB testing, and background check required.
