Cardiac Telemetry Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks a Cardiac Telemetry Nurse for a 13-week contract, working nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a full-time role with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
Unit & Clinical Scope
You'll work in a cardiac telemetry unit caring for patients across the full spectrum of cardiac needs, including post-operative cardiac patients. The unit provides continuous monitoring and specialized nursing interventions for this high-acuity population. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes patient care technicians, a unit coordinator, monitor technicians, and virtual sitter monitoring support.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans
- Assess, record, and communicate patient conditions with precision
- Coordinate care across all disciplines to ensure seamless patient outcomes
- Execute physician and nursing orders
- Coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
- Work independently with strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Follow Standard Precautions and appropriate use of personal protective equipment
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required)
- Ability to float to cardiac telemetry and med-surg departments
- Willingness to work up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period and holidays as needed
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Onboarding includes facility-specific competency exams and certifications
