Cardiac Telemetry Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Cardiac Telemetry Nurse for a 13-week contract. This is a night shift position (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) based in Tulsa, OK, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Unit & Clinical Scope
You'll work in a cardiac telemetry unit caring for patients across the full spectrum of cardiac diagnoses and post-procedure recovery. The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–6, with support from Patient Care Technicians, a Healthcare Unit Coordinator, telemetry monitoring technicians, and virtual sitter monitoring resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor comprehensive patient care plans
- Assess, record, and communicate patient conditions to the healthcare team
- Coordinate care across all disciplines to ensure seamless collaboration
- Execute physician and nursing orders accurately and promptly
- Assess discharge planning needs and coordinate with team members
- Employ critical thinking and sound judgment in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
- Follow Standard Precautions and use PPE as required
Requirements
- Valid RN license (verification required prior to start)
- Ability to work up to 6 weekend shifts within each 6-week scheduling period
- Holiday availability based on department needs
- Willingness to complete facility-specific onboarding assessments and skills validation
Schedule & Contract
Night shift with 36 guaranteed hours per week over a 13-week assignment. Start date: October 4, 2026.
