Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN — Night Shift

Tulsa, OK | 13-Week Contract | Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

This observation and medical-surgical unit with telemetry capability cares for a diverse patient population spanning all ages. The unit is supported by patient care technicians, a unit coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and dedicated monitor techs for telemetry patients — allowing nurses to focus on delivering high-quality, coordinated care.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Up to six (6) weekend shifts required per contract, plus holidays as department needs dictate

Clinical Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and adjust individualized patient care plans
• Assess and communicate changes in patient condition to the interdisciplinary team
• Coordinate care across all disciplines to ensure smooth patient flow and outcomes
• Execute physician and nursing orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Assess discharge planning needs and collaborate with the healthcare team to facilitate transitions

Work Environment

• Observation and med-surg unit with telemetry monitoring support
• Team-based nursing model with PCT and unit secretary support
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to function independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Standard precautions and PPE required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Nursys verification required)
• Valid state ID or driver's license
• Two professional references required at submission
• Onboarding includes pharmacology and medical-surgical competency exams, core competency assessment, and color vision screening
• Up-to-date immunizations: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza, and TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
