Intensive Monitoring Care (IMC) Nurse – Night Shift
About the Role
Join the facility's adult IMC department as a night shift nurse (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). You'll provide direct care to high-acuity patients in a supportive, collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients continuously using ventilators, cardiac monitors, and other advanced equipment
- Administer medications, fluids, and treatments per physician orders with accuracy and timeliness
- Recognize and respond promptly to patient condition changes and emergencies
- Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of patient status and nursing interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
- Maintain strict infection control protocols
- Stay current with IMC practices through continuing education
- Mentor and precept new team members as needed
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (Compact) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Assignment Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
- Guaranteed Hours: 3 weeks
Onboarding Requirements
Standard health assessments, required vaccinations (COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap, Varicella), TB screening, drug screening, criminal background check, and professional references.
