Registered Nurse

Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) — Travel RN | Baltimore, MD

Shift: Days, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Contract: 13 weeks | Start: October 5, 2026

This high-acuity Intermediate Care Unit cares for a complex, critically ill adult patient population in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The unit emphasizes strong interdisciplinary partnerships with physicians, respiratory therapists, and staff across the hospital.

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Continuous monitoring and assessment of high-acuity patients using ventilators, cardiac monitors, and other advanced equipment
• Accurate, timely administration of medications, fluids, and treatments per physician orders
• Recognition and rapid response to changes in patient condition and emergencies
• Thorough documentation of patient status, treatments, and nursing interventions
• Development and implementation of individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Patient and family education and emotional support
• Adherence to infection control protocols
• Preceptorship of new team members is welcomed

Required Credentials:

• Active RN license (Compact accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• CRRT experience required

• Skills checklist, professional references, and license verification required at submission
• Onboarding includes background check, drug screen, immunization documentation (COVID-19, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap, TB testing), and EKG competency exam

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
