Registered Nurse – ICU

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role

You'll provide direct nursing care in a medical and surgical trauma ICU environment, managing high-acuity patients with critical thinking and decisive judgment. Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, recording and communicating patient conditions, coordinating care across all disciplines, executing physician and nursing orders, and assessing discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Unit Details

This is a busy ICU setting managing post-operative, trauma, and critically ill patients. You'll work with established staffing ratios and may float to acute care or emergency services as needed. Standard precautions and PPE protocols are followed throughout.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse license from the Texas Board of Nursing (required prior to hire)
  • BLS Provider certification within 30 days of start date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of start date
  • Diploma or degree from an accredited nursing school
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a stressful, fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience

  • ACLS certification
  • Knowledge of CRRT, CABG, trauma nursing, Impella, or IABP management

Schedule & Expectations

36 guaranteed hours per week, nights. Standard call and weekend expectations apply.
