Contract: 13 weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (Night)

About the Unit
This medical unit specializes in the care of renal patients, including those receiving peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis, alongside a general medical patient population. Patients range from young adults (18) through older adults (60+). The unit operates with a variable staffing model that includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns, with the RN holding full clinical accountability for their assigned patient team.
Clinical Scope
- Renal patient management: peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis
- General medical-surgical care
- EKG interpretation competency required
Shift & Float Expectations
- Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Travelers may be asked to float to other units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on census and acuity needs
- Float notification is provided prior to the start of your scheduled shift
Required Credentials & Certifications
- Active RN license (Nursys verification required)
- BLS certification
- Medical-Surgical and EKG competency assessments completed upon onboarding
- Standard immunization documentation: COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Influenza, Tdap, and TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA)
- Background check, drug screen, and employment/education verification required
