Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week contract position. You'll work in a busy nuclear medicine and PET imaging department performing a high volume of diagnostic studies.
Schedule
- Primary Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
- On-Call: One weekday evening per week (4:30 PM – 10:00 PM) and one weekend per month (Saturday or Sunday, 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM)
- Call-back frequency is minimal; emergency coverage is limited to HIDA, GI bleed, brain death, and lung studies
Requirements
- ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification
- 3–5+ years of nuclear medicine experience
- Proficiency in general nuclear medicine and PET imaging
- Ability to float between modalities as needed
Clinical Scope
You'll perform 10+ nuclear medicine procedures and 12–14 PET/CT studies daily, including:
- Whole-body bone, lung, thyroid, and renal scans
- Gastric emptying and HIDA studies
- Parathyroid and lymphoscintigraphy scans
- DaTscan and specialty PET imaging
- Patient coordination and reminder calls
