NICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Contract: 13 weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
The facility's Level III NICU is seeking an experienced RN to provide high-quality care to critically ill neonates. You'll manage extremely high-acuity patients independently, including infants requiring advanced respiratory support and therapeutic cooling.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct care to premature, medically complex, and critically ill neonates
- Manage patients on ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, and high-flow oxygen systems
- Care for infants requiring therapeutic hypothermia/cooling
- Monitor and manage central lines, PICC lines, and umbilical lines (UAC/UVC)
- Administer and titrate IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products
- Perform comprehensive neonatal assessments and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Participate in neonatal resuscitation and emergency stabilization
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the multidisciplinary team
- Provide education and emotional support to families throughout hospitalization
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- BLS and NRP certification
- 3–4+ years of strong Level III NICU experience
- Hands-on therapeutic cooling experience (essential)
- Ability to function independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
