NICU Registered Nurse
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to provide direct care to high-acuity and critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU setting. This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Clinical Responsibilities
You will manage premature, critically ill, and medically complex infants, including those requiring:
- Therapeutic hypothermia (cooling)
- Advanced respiratory support (ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, high-flow oxygen)
- Central lines, PICC lines, umbilical lines (UAC/UVC), and other invasive devices
- IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products
Additional duties include neonatal assessment and monitoring, rapid recognition of patient deterioration, participation in resuscitation and stabilization, collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, family education and support, and accurate clinical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS and NRP certifications
- 3–4+ years of Level III NICU experience
- Hands-on therapeutic cooling experience
- Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Travel experience preferred
