NICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Level III
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced NICU RN to provide high-quality care for critically ill and premature neonates in a Level III NICU setting. You'll manage complex, high-acuity patients requiring advanced respiratory support, hemodynamic monitoring, and therapeutic cooling.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 13-week contract
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill, premature, and medically complex neonates
- Administer and manage therapeutic hypothermia (cooling) for eligible infants
- Manage ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, and high-flow oxygen delivery
- Monitor and maintain central lines, PICC lines, umbilical lines (UAC/UVC), and invasive devices
- Administer and titrate IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products
- Perform comprehensive neonatal assessments and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Participate in neonatal resuscitation and emergency stabilization
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the multidisciplinary team
- Support and educate parents and families throughout hospitalization
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
Required Qualifications
- 3–4+ years of strong Level III NICU experience
- Active RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Hands-on therapeutic cooling experience required
- Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
