NICU Registered Nurse (RN) Level III
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
About the Role
The facility's Level III NICU is seeking an experienced RN to provide direct care to critically ill and medically complex neonates. You'll manage high-acuity patients requiring advanced respiratory support, therapeutic hypothermia/cooling, and hemodynamic monitoring in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates
- Manage infants requiring advanced respiratory support (ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, high-flow oxygen) and therapeutic cooling
- Monitor and manage central lines, PICC lines, umbilical lines (UAC/UVC), and other invasive devices
- Administer and titrate IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products
- Perform comprehensive neonatal assessments and respond quickly to patient deterioration
- Participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the multidisciplinary team
- Provide education and support to families throughout hospitalization
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Required Experience & Certifications
- 3–4+ years of strong Level III NICU experience
- Hands-on therapeutic cooling experience required
- Ability to function independently in a complex, high-acuity setting
- Active RN license, BLS, and NRP certification
- Additional certifications may be required per facility policy
