Night Shift Medical-Surgical RN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical RN for night shift work on a 13-week contract. You'll provide care to adult patients in the post-operative and acute medical setting, working 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Clinical Scope
This unit specializes in post-surgical recovery and medical management. Common patient diagnoses include abdominal and back pain, fractures, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, and bariatric surgery cases. You'll manage specialty equipment including IV pumps, nasogastric tubes, and feeding tubes. Patients range from stable post-op recoveries to those requiring closer monitoring.
Schedule & Staffing
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3 shifts per week)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 weekly
- Floating Required: Yes
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Current travel nursing experience required
- Active New York RN license
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Valid driver's license
