Registered Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week night shift assignment. You'll work 36 hours per week on a rotating schedule:
- Week 1: Sunday–Tuesday nights
- Week 2: Sunday–Wednesday nights
- Rotation repeats every other week
Shifts run 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, including some call and weekend hours.
Qualifications
- Current, active Colorado Respiratory Therapist license
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform pulmonary function testing, sleep studies, and diagnostic procedures
- Manage artificial airways and mechanical ventilation (invasive and non-invasive)
- Administer medical gas, humidity, and aerosol therapies
- Collect and analyze blood gas samples and related lab work
- Assess patient responses to respiratory interventions
- Participate in discharge planning and case management
- Contribute to cardiopulmonary wellness education initiatives
- Attend mandatory safety training and departmental meetings
About the Role
You'll join a respiratory care team delivering diagnostic and therapeutic services across multiple patient populations. This is a fast-paced night assignment with established clinical protocols and collaborative interdisciplinary teamwork.
