Travel RN – Pre-Op

About the Role
The facility's Pre-Op and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is seeking an experienced RN to support pre-operative assessment, patient preparation, and Phase 2 recovery. You'll care for patients undergoing surgery, endoscopy, catheterization, electrophysiology, and CT procedures, as well as manage outpatient infusions, EKGs, nerve blocks, and blood transfusions.
Clinical Scope
- Conduct pre-op assessments and prepare patients for surgery
- Manage Phase 2 recoveries for urology, gynecology, and other surgical specialties
- Perform EKGs, Doppler studies, and bladder scanning
- Assist with outpatient procedures and infusions
- Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:3
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care Pre-Op RN experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
Schedule & On-Call
- Day shift: 7 AM – 7 PM
- On-call required with 30-minute response time
- Two 10-hour on-call shifts required every 8 weeks
