Operating Room Nurse – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced OR nurse for a full-time night shift position. You'll work in a busy surgical environment supporting a wide range of procedures across multiple specialties.

Clinical Scope

You'll care for patients undergoing general surgery, neurosurgery, spine, orthopedic, robotic-assisted, and vascular procedures. This role requires independent practice and the ability to manage complex patient needs, including psychological, emotional, cultural, and social dimensions of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor for effectiveness and side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Educate patients and families; assess and address learning needs
• Collaborate with the surgical team to manage contingencies and support safe patient outcomes

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in OR or related surgical nursing specialty
• Active RN License in Texas or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only)

Schedule & Contract

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Full-time)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 5, 2026

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with incentive pay available for permanent night shift positions.
