Respiratory Therapist – 13-Week Contract
Shift & Schedule
12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM), every other weekend required. Four-week rotating schedule with no self-scheduling; the team works with you on scheduling requests. 36 guaranteed hours per week.
About the Role
You'll provide respiratory care across multiple settings within the facility: inpatient units (medical-surgical, progressive care, ICU), emergency department, rehabilitation, PACU, skilled nursing facility, endoscopy, cardiac catheterization lab, and outpatient services. You'll manage an average of 90–100 treatments daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer breathing treatments and manage respiratory equipment
- Draw ABGs and perform capillary sticks for I-Stat analysis
- Assist with intubations (no independent intubation required)
- Provide care to adults, pediatrics, and neonates in non-NICU settings
Required Qualifications
- Current RRT via NBRC (CRT acceptable if grandfathered by WV Board of Respiratory Care)
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications
- 3–4 years experience preferred; first-time travelers welcome
- Valid, unexpired driver's license and residence within 50-mile radius
- WV CARES required prior to start
Team & Support
Charge RTs and supervisory support available. You'll never work alone. Orientation: 1–3 shifts with a preceptor as needed. No floating requirements.
Dress Code
Teal scrubs; patterned scrub shirts acceptable.
