Respiratory Therapist – NICU

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist for its neonatal intensive care unit. You'll provide critical respiratory support to critically ill and extremely premature infants in a specialized neonatal environment.

Shift & Schedule

• 4 x 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday
• No on-call requirement
• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
• 1+ years experience in a Level 3 or higher NICU (or 1+ year PICU experience)
• RRT certification
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• PALS preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)

Clinical Scope & Skills

You'll manage a range of respiratory interventions including:

• Bubble CPAP, CPAP, nasal CPAP, BiPAP
• Intubation assistance and extubation
• High-frequency ventilation
• Nitric oxide therapy
• Tracheostomy care and management
• Pulmonary hygiene and weaning protocols

Floating Requirements

You'll float between neonatal and pediatric units based on facility needs.

Additional Information

• Facility provides scrubs
• 40 hours of orientation included
• Pennsylvania fingerprints required (must complete within 1 week of contract signing)
