Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Utica, NY
This is a 13-week travel contract in a busy Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population spanning newborns through geriatrics. The unit manages high-acuity presentations including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
Shift
Night shift, 12-hour days (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM). Block scheduling is not guaranteed.
Position Details
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Floating required
- Charge nurse capability highly preferred
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
Patient Population
Newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients across acute, trauma, observation, fast-track, and behavioral health areas.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of ED experience
- Pediatric ED experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
Required Certifications (must be in hand at time of submission)
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
- TNCC
Licensure
- Active New York RN license required (NURSYS verification)
- All active RN licenses must be provided
Additional Requirements
- Completed skills checklist matching ED specialty
- Driver's license with address matching submitted demographics
- Requested time off must be submitted at time of application
