Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Utica, NY

This full-scope Emergency Department position serves a diverse patient population spanning newborns through geriatrics. The unit manages high-acuity presentations including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure, with distinct care areas for acute, psychiatric, and clinical decision unit patients.

Assignment Details

• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (nights)
• Contract Duration: 16 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Start Date: October 2026
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Clinical Scope

• All-age patient population: newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric
• High-acuity emergency care including resuscitation, trauma response, and stroke management
• Floating required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience with pediatric exposure
• Prior travel experience required
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
• Active New York RN license (NURSYS-verified)
• All current certifications required and must be in hand at time of submission:
• AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
• NIHSS
• TNCC
• Completed specialty-specific skills checklist

This is a long-term night-shift commitment in a busy, multi-acuity emergency environment. Strong candidates will bring broad clinical experience, comfort with rapid patient turnover, and the ability to function across varied ED care zones.
