Registered Nurse

Medical-Surgical RN – Night Shift | Morgantown, WV | 13-Week Contract

This acute care Med/Surg unit manages a broad range of adult medical conditions with telemetry capability. The unit is supported by a strong interdisciplinary team including rapid response, respiratory services, IV teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services. Clinical nurse coordinators lead each shift, facilitating huddles, managing patient flow, and rounding with staff.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Mix of weekday and weekend shifts; 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
• 13-week contract with possible extension | Start date: ASAP

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (all must be AHA-issued)

Required Experience & Licensure

• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• West Virginia or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
• Permanent residence must be 100+ miles from the facility

Clinical Skills Expected

• Telemetry interpretation and remote monitoring
• BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula management
• Central line, PICC line, and peripheral IV care
• Blood product administration and heparin protocols
• Chest tube, tracheostomy, and surgical drain management
• CVA care, renal failure management, pre/post cardiac cath and hemodialysis
• Wound care/wound vac, PCA management, ABG interpretation

Additional Details

• Scrubs: Not provided
• Orientation: 12 hours (held every other Monday)
• Attendance: No more than 2–3 call-offs permitted for the duration of the contract
• Minimum 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years required at time of submission
