Medical-Surgical RN — Night Shift | Morgantown, WV

13-Week Contract | Nights, 4x12 (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

This night-shift opportunity places you on an acute medical-surgical unit with telemetry capability, caring for an adult patient population presenting with a wide range of medical conditions including CVA, renal failure, cardiac diagnoses, and post-procedure recovery.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x12-hour nights (19:00–07:00); 3x12 schedules considered
• 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
• Start date: ASAP | Extension possible

Clinical Scope

The unit is supported by an interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, IV teams, physical therapy, phlebotomy, pharmacy, rapid response, and social services. Clinical nurse coordinators lead each shift through daily huddles and patient rounding.

Required Skills Include:

• Telemetry interpretation and remote monitoring
• BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula management
• Central line, PICC line, and peripheral IV care
• Blood product administration and heparin protocols
• Chest tube and surgical drain management
• Tracheostomy care
• Wound care/wound vac
• Pre/post cardiac cath and hemodialysis management
• ABG interpretation

Requirements

• Active WV or Compact RN license (pending accepted)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA-issued)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Permanent address must be 75+ miles from the facility

Important: The facility maintains a strict attendance policy — no more than 2–3 call-offs permitted per contract. Candidates should be prepared for this expectation before applying.
