Respiratory Therapist — Night Shift | Jackson, TN | 13-Week Contract

This position supports a multi-population respiratory therapy department serving adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients. The role involves hands-on clinical care across a range of acuity levels with interdisciplinary team collaboration.

Shift Details

Nights: 3×12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
Weekends and holidays required
No on-call responsibilities
Floating may be expected

Clinical Responsibilities

Administration of aerosolized medications via oral inhalation, MDI, EZPAP, and IPPB
Chest physiotherapy (CPT) and incentive spirometry
Oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP management
High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) therapy
Arteriocentesis and ABG interpretation
Tracheostomy care and management
Intubation assistance and mechanical ventilator weaning
Troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
Pediatric respiratory care

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience
Active RRT credential
BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of submission
Active Tennessee license (compact or state-specific) required at submission
Recent electronic health record experience within the past 12–18 months, clearly documented on profile
Must pass the EHR competency exam — one attempt only; failure may result in contract cancellation
Two supervisory references required at submission
COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered); flu vaccine required with no exemptions
