Location: Elizabethtown, KY
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week, weekend and holiday rotation
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role
Join the facility's Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit as a Registered Nurse. You'll provide comprehensive, continuous care to mothers and newborns across the entire childbirth experience—from active labor through delivery and recovery—all within one integrated care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and interpret fetal heart rate monitoring and uterine contraction patterns; escalate concerns promptly
- Administer labor management medications, including induction/augmentation agents and epidural support, per provider orders
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and provide immediate post-delivery recovery care
- Perform maternal postpartum and newborn assessments as part of couplet care
- Recognize and manage high-risk obstetric and postpartum conditions with appropriate interventions
- Support mothers with breastfeeding education, infant care guidance, and family bonding
- Collaborate with OB physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and pediatric teams on individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Provide continuity of care by following the same patient-family dyad throughout their hospital stay
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky (or compact license as applicable)
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- 1+ years of L&D/LDRP experience
- ADN or ASN; BSN preferred
- Experience with fetal monitoring, vaginal delivery assistance, and couplet care
Preferred Qualifications
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification
- Prior experience in high-risk obstetric care
