Transplant Nephrology | Med/Surg | Kansas City, MO
This 13-week contract places you on a dedicated Transplant Nephrology unit providing med/surg-level care for patients with complex renal conditions, including post-kidney-transplant care. Dialysis is managed off the unit, so bedside focus remains on nephrology and transplant patient management.
Shift & Schedule
- 4 x 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- 48 hours per week guaranteed
- 3 weekend shifts per month required
- No on-call requirements
Unit Support
- Daytime unit secretary support
- PCTs available to assist bedside staff
- Dedicated unit educator on-site
- Virtual nurse handles patient admissions, allowing bedside nurses to concentrate on active patient care
Float Policy
Agency/contract nurses float first.
Required Qualifications
- ADN minimum
- BLS certification
- Background in Med/Surg, nephrology, renal care, kidney transplant, or dialysis
Dress Code
Royal blue scrubs; black scrub pants permitted.
