Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to care for high-acuity patients on the night shift.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 4 x 12-hour nights
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 weekly
• Contract Duration: 16 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP

Clinical Setting

You'll work in a PCU managing medically complex patients with conditions including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, substance abuse, and encephalopathy. You'll administer heparin drips and provide skilled nursing care in a monitored environment.

Patient Care

• Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:4
• High-acuity medical management
• Continuous cardiac and respiratory monitoring

Requirements

• 2+ years of nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• RN license (state specific)
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
