Cardiac Surgery ICU Nurse – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced ICU nurse to join its cardiac surgery team. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced setting managing high-acuity post-operative cardiac surgery patients.

Schedule & Staffing

• 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights)
• Every other weekend rotation
• 72 hours biweekly guaranteed
• 13-week contract
• If working through winter holidays, 2 holiday shifts required
• Weekly orientation available

Clinical Scope

You'll care for post-cardiac-surgery patients and work with advanced hemodynamic support devices including IABP and IMPELLA. You'll float between ICU and IMCU as needed to support unit census.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years ICU experience in a cardiac surgery or similar setting
• Current BLS-AHA and ACLS-AHA certifications required
• Cardiac surgery device experience (IABP, IMPELLA) essential
• Must have been separated from previous employer for 6+ months
