Registered Nurse

ICU / IMCU — CT Surgery Nurse | Cambridge, MA | 13-Week Contract

This role is based in an intensive care unit with a strong focus on cardiothoracic surgery patients. Clinicians will care for high-acuity post-operative CT surgery patients and must be proficient with mechanical circulatory support devices including IABP and Impella.

Schedule

• 3 × 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights)
• Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly (excludes on-call hours)
• Every-other-weekend rotation
• If working through the winter holiday period, 2 holiday shifts are required

Clinical Scope

• High-acuity ICU and step-down (IMCU) patient population
• Post-cardiothoracic surgery care
• Mechanical circulatory support device management (IABP, Impella)
• Float between ICU and IMCU as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a comparable ICU or CT surgery setting
• CT surgery nursing experience required
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) — both required
• Active RN licensure appropriate for Massachusetts
• Scrubs: Any color
