Critical Care Nurse – ICU
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced critical care nurse for its ICU. This is a 13-week contract position with rotating 12-hour night shifts, working every other weekend. If you work through the winter holiday period, you'll be expected to work 2 holidays.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a critical care setting, including CT surgery experience
- Demonstrated competency with advanced cardiac support devices (IABP, IMPELLA)
- Current BLS-AHA and ACLS-AHA certifications
- Must be separated from your previous employer for 6+ months
- Weekly orientation provided
Position Details
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly (does not include on-call time)
- Float Requirements: You'll float between ICU and IMCU units as needed
- Scrubs: Any color permitted
- Location: Cambridge, MA
What You'll Do
You'll provide direct patient care to high-acuity patients requiring mechanical circulatory support and post-surgical monitoring. Your clinical judgment, device expertise, and ability to work across units in a fast-paced environment are essential.
This role is ideal for an experienced critical care nurse ready for a short-term assignment with strong clinical skills and device experience.
