Clinical Supervisor – Mental Health Program
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for its community behavioral health program. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity working Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM, with a 13-week initial contract.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Rehabilitative Counseling, or closely related field
- LMHC or LICSW license preferred
- BLS certification
- Must be in good standing if previously employed by the organization
- Local candidates strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and consult with mental health counselors and peer specialists; monitor milieu acuity and assign client tasks appropriately
- Develop and oversee treatment and crisis response plans
- Review clinical documentation for compliance with Federal, State, and Program regulations; oversee Quality Assurance
- Conduct regular staff supervision, review group dynamics, and develop strategies to improve client retention and engagement
- Develop and monitor group curriculum using evidence-based addiction treatment techniques
- Participate in hiring, training, performance evaluation, and scheduling of clinical staff
- Collaborate with leadership on clinical program design and continuous improvement initiatives
- Attend internal team meetings and external stakeholder meetings
- Share on-call responsibilities as needed
- Ensure day-to-day clinical oversight and quality care consistent with regulatory standards
Essential Qualities
Strong problem-solving skills, sensitivity when addressing emotional topics, excellent communication and documentation abilities, and a customer-service orientation. Must manage difficult situations professionally, maintain confidentiality, and respond promptly to client and staff needs.
