ICU RN – Day Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week contract on day shift.

Shift & Schedule

• 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Day shift only

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 18 months of permanent ICU experience required
• License: Active Ohio license or active compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Certifications: Active ACLS and BLS (AHA) required at submission; NIHSS preferred
• References: One professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) from work in the past 12 months required

Clinical Scope

You will provide direct care to high-acuity ICU patients in a fast-paced environment. The role involves critical assessment, monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Background check (open cases will be reviewed; facility does not accept license hits)
• BCI/FBI fingerprints must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Drug screening (10-panel)
• Online orientation modules (6–15 hours; approximately 4 hours are paid)
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation (2 attempts maximum to pass)

Contract Details

• 13-week assignment
• Guaranteed hours
• Extension opportunities available (up to 18 months; 6-month break required thereafter)
• Annual hands-on competency requirement if contract extends beyond one year
