ICU Nurse – CT Surgery Focus

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced ICU nurse to join a cardiac care team. You'll provide direct patient care in a high-acuity setting managing post-operative cardiac surgery patients and those requiring advanced hemodynamic support.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights)
• Every other weekend rotation
• 72 hours guaranteed biweekly
• 13-week contract
• If working through winter holidays, 2 holiday commitments required
• Weekly orientation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years ICU experience in a similar cardiac or post-surgical setting
• CT surgery experience required
• Hands-on experience with advanced devices: IABP and IMPELLA
• Current BLS-AHA and ACLS-AHA certifications
• Must have been separated from your previous employer for 6+ months

Role Expectations

• Primary assignment: ICU with occasional float to IMCU as needed
• Any color scrubs permitted
• High-acuity patient population including post-cardiac-surgery and hemodynamically unstable patients
• Competency with advanced monitoring and device management

A self-directed, clinically strong nurse with proven expertise in cardiac critical care and device management. You should be comfortable with rotating schedules and occasional floating between related units.
