Night Shift ICU Nurse – Cardiac Surgery
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced ICU nurse for night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) in a cardiac surgery intensive care unit. This is a 13-week contract with 72 guaranteed biweekly hours.
Key Details
- Shift: 12-hour nights, every other weekend rotation
- Float: Between ICU and IMCU as needed
- Holiday commitment: If working through winter holidays, 2 holidays are required
- Orientation: Weekly
- Scrubs: Any color
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years ICU experience in a cardiac surgery setting
- Advanced experience with high-acuity devices: IABP and IMPELLA
- BLS-AHA and ACLS-AHA certifications (required)
- Must be separated from previous employer for a minimum of 6 months
Clinical Scope
You'll provide care for post-cardiac-surgery patients and those requiring advanced hemodynamic support. The role demands strong assessment skills, device management expertise, and the ability to work autonomously during night shift in a fast-paced environment.
