A busy imaging department in West Virginia is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. This is a block-scheduled position covering a broad patient population including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Clinical Scope
The CT department supports a high-volume, multidisciplinary environment with imaging needs spanning emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings. Expected procedures include:
- CT of the abdomen, chest, head, pelvis, thoracic spine, neck soft tissue, and sinuses (with and/or without contrast)
- Vascular imaging (pulmonary embolism, CTA, aortic studies)
- Musculoskeletal trauma and myelography
- 3D rendering techniques (MIP, surface shaded display, volume rendering)
- Contrast preparation and administration, venipuncture, and peripheral IV placement
- Pediatric and acute care imaging, including trauma protocols
Interdisciplinary collaboration includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy.
Schedule & Requirements
- Shift: Days, 3x12 (7:00 AM–7:00 PM); weekend shifts depend on open schedule at time of contract
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Pre-approved time off: One request considered
Qualifications
- ARRT certification required
- Active West Virginia license required
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience; prior travel experience required
- BLS required (AHA)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Permanent residence must be at least 75 miles from the facility
