Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Cardiovascular ICU Nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct patient care in a high-acuity cardiac unit, working with patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour rotating shifts
- Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Shifts may rotate to meet operational needs; the facility will make every effort to honor your preferred schedule
- Must work at least every other holiday
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months permanent, direct patient care experience in cardiovascular nursing
- Current, active Ohio or compact state RN license (must be in hand at submission)
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- One professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director (from past 12 months only—no peer references)
- Willingness to complete ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation; passing scores required
What to Expect
- Orientation will include competency assessments and required facility modules (approximately 6–15 hours)
- Background check and license verification required
- BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- Extensions available up to 18 months
