Respiratory Therapist – Critical Care
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly
About the Role
The facility's critical care and emergency departments manage high-acuity patients including trauma, neuro, medical, cardiac, and surgical cases. You'll provide advanced respiratory support in a fast-paced, complex clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage mechanically ventilated patients with advanced techniques
- Interpret PV loops and driving pressure assessments
- Optimize PEEP strategies and perform esophageal balloon monitoring
- Work collaboratively with the ICU and ED teams
- Respond to emergencies and critical patient needs
Requirements
- License & Certification: Respiratory Therapist License, RRT registration, BLS, and NBRC verification
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in adult critical care and emergency departments
- Background: Demonstrated experience in trauma, neuro, medical, cardiac, and surgical ICUs
- Availability: Every other weekend, 2 on-call shifts per week, and holiday commitment required
- Relocation: Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates cannot be considered
