ICU Travel Nurse — Wichita, KS
This 13-week contract places you in an intensive care unit managing critically ill adult patients. The unit cares for high-acuity cases requiring close hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and complex medication titration.
Schedule & Coverage
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (nights)
- Every other weekend required
- No call obligations
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Float Requirement
Candidates should be prepared to float to like units on the same campus or to another campus within the Wichita area.

Required for Onboarding
- Specialty exam and core competency assessment
- EKG exam
- Point-of-care glucose competency (StatStrip)
- Color vision assessment
- Skills checklist
- Background check, drug screen (12-panel), and employment/education verification
- Immunization documentation: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA), annual flu vaccine
- Fit test and health statement
- Badge photo
