About the Role
The facility's PCU provides care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment. You'll work with step-down and intermediate-acuity patients, managing post-operative recovery, telemetry monitoring, and transitional care cases. This role offers the opportunity to develop strong clinical skills in a structured, supportive environment.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and patient education
- Monitor patients on telemetry and respond to clinical changes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Document thoroughly and communicate effectively with incoming shifts
Requirements
- Current RN license (Kentucky)
- BLS certification required
- Experience in progressive care, step-down, or intermediate-acuity settings preferred
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple patients with varying acuity levels
