Operating Room (OR) – Perioperative RN
Pearland, TX | 13-Week Contract | Days
This OR position supports a high-volume surgical suite performing a broad range of specialties across orthopedic, general, colorectal, urological, and gynecological surgery. Cases include robotic, laparoscopic, and open approaches, with significant volume in total joint replacements, revisions, fracture repair, and robotic colorectal and gynecological procedures.
Schedule & Contract Details
- 4 x 10-hour day shifts
- Shift hours: 06:30–17:00, Monday–Friday
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Anticipated start: September 28, 2026
Unit Expectations
- Pulling and preparing case carts
- Providing family updates via phone
- Lunch and break relief coverage
- Supporting the after-hours recovery nurse as a second nurse when needed
Call & Weekend Requirements
- On-call participation with staff rotation (approximately 5 call shifts, including one weekend and evening weekday coverage)
Dress Code
- Facility-dispensed scrubs
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
Ideal Candidate
- OR RN with experience across multiple surgical specialties
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proactive, efficient, and positive in approach
No floating required. Candidates with prior experience in a comparable high-volume surgical setting are strongly encouraged to apply.
