Operating Room RN – Pearland, TX

13-Week Contract | Days | 4×10 Schedule

This OR position supports a busy multi-specialty surgical suite performing a wide range of elective and complex procedures across orthopedic, general, colorectal, urological, and gynecological services.

Schedule & Contract Details

• Shift: 4×10, approximately 06:30–17:00, Monday–Friday
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start date: September 28, 2026

Clinical Scope

The OR team manages cases across multiple surgical specialties, including:

• Orthopedic surgery (total joints, revisions, fractures)
• Robotic, laparoscopic, and open general surgery
• Robotic colorectal surgery
• Urological and gynecological surgery (robotic and laparoscopic)

Nurses are expected to pull case carts, provide lunch/break relief, deliver family updates, and serve as secondary support for after-hours recovery staff as needed.

Call & Weekend Expectations

Travel nurses join the call rotation with permanent staff. Expect approximately 5–8 call shifts per month, including one weekend shift and evening weekday coverage.

Floating

No float requirement.

Dress Code

Facility-issued scrubs provided.

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS

• Solid OR scrub and/or circulating experience across multiple surgical specialties
