Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN – Float Pool
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced PCU RN for a float pool role covering multiple PCU and intermediate care unit (IMCU) floors. You'll provide care to patients with acute cardiac conditions in a structured, team-based environment.
Clinical Scope
- Float across PCU/IMCU floors with a cardiac patient population
- Manage patients with STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, and post-cardiac procedures
- Administer cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and vasopressors
- Provide telemetry monitoring and care for lower-acuity cardiac patients
- Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:3–4
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- 36 guaranteed hours weekly
- 16-week contract
- Minimal time off requests during contract period
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care setting with similar patient acuity
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Proficiency with electronic health records
