Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location: Louisville, KY

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, days (every other weekend required)

Contract Duration: 14 weeks

Start Date: September 27, 2026

About the Role

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its telemetry unit. You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with cardiac and other acute conditions, working collaboratively with cardiologists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and assess, monitor, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Interpret cardiac rhythms, identify arrhythmias, and escalate care as needed
• Administer cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
• Respond to rapid response and code interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record
• Manage a typical patient load per facility acuity guidelines
• Ensure infection control and fall prevention protocols are followed
• Mentor and support licensed and non-licensed staff members

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• 2+ years of acute care RN experience, with 1+ year in telemetry
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency and experience monitoring cardiac rhythms
• ADN or BSN
• Familiarity with electronic health records
