Med/Surg Tele Float Pool RN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool RN for winter coverage. You'll work rotating 12-hour shifts across medical/surgical telemetry units, with potential to float to designated units caring for the same patient population. This is a 18-week contract (13 weeks also available).
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-Hour Rotating Shifts: Day (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) and Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Shifts may rotate to meet operational needs; the facility will work to honor your preference when possible
- Must work at least every other holiday
Requirements
- License: Current Ohio license or compact state license in hand at time of submission
- Experience: Minimum 18 months combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele (travel experience counts); preferred to be within one location but may be combined
- Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (required in hand at submission)
- References: One required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in your specialty from an assignment within the past 12 months
Orientation & Assessments
- ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment required during orientation
- You'll have a maximum of 2 attempts to pass both assessments
- Pre-start modules (6–15 hours average) required
Important Notes
- Background clearance required; no open cases accepted
- Drug screen and background check timeline is tight—coordinate with your recruiter
- Contract extensions available up to 18 months with a 6-month break (may be deferred by facility approval)
