Registered Nurse – Telemetry
Unit & Specialty
Join the telemetry unit at the facility in Louisville, KY. You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with cardiac and other acute conditions, managing rhythm interpretation, cardiac medications, and acute patient responses.
Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Rotation: Every other weekend
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 4, 2026
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience
- Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
- Experience monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing cardiac medications
- 2+ years of acute care inpatient RN experience
- NIHSS certification
- Proficiency with the facility's EMR system
Preferred Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted
Key Responsibilities
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and rapid interpretation of arrhythmias
- Administer cardiac drips, antiarrhythmics, and other medications per orders
- Assess and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
- Respond to rapid response and code situations
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and discharge planning
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR
- Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols
