Registered Nurse – Telemetry
Location: Louisville, KY
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: Every other weekend required
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: October 4, 2026
About the Role
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its telemetry unit. You will provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with acute cardiac and medical conditions. This is a fast-paced environment where your clinical assessment, rhythm interpretation, and rapid response skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring; identify and interpret arrhythmias, escalating care as needed
- Administer cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
- Assess patients promptly and respond to changes in condition
- Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team
- Respond to rapid response and code interventions
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EMR
- Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols
- Mentor and support licensed and non-licensed staff
Requirements
- Active RN license (or compact license as applicable)
- Minimum 2 years acute care inpatient telemetry experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency and cardiac rhythm monitoring experience
- Proficiency with the facility's EMR system
- ADN or BSN
