Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced RN to join its Medical-Surgical / Telemetry unit on the night shift. You'll provide comprehensive care to adult patients with a range of medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions, working in a collaborative environment focused on evidence-based practice and patient-centered healing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and vital sign assessment, recognizing and responding promptly to rhythm changes and patient condition deterioration
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, including cardiac drips as applicable
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound assessment and pain management
• Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory diagnoses)
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members on care planning and discharge coordination
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EMR
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols
• Manage a typical patient load of 4–6 patients per shift

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky (or compact license as applicable)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• 1+ years of Medical-Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience
• Telemetry and EKG interpretation competency
• ADN minimum; BSN preferred

Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend commitment: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: October 5, 2026
