Night Shift Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for night shift coverage in a busy emergency department. This is a 13-week contract position working 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
Clinical Environment
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience (18 months acceptable from similar facilities)
- Valid California RN license
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIH certifications
- Before start date: MAB, Team, or CPI certification
- Preferred: BSN, TNCC, CPI/MAB
Scheduling & Expectations
- 3x12-hour night shifts per week
- Intermittent weekend coverage required
- No on-call duties
- Expected to work 2 of 3 upcoming major holidays
- Float within the hospital as needed
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Onboarding
36-hour orientation plus approximately 7.25 hours of online modules during onboarding.
